Below are student images that were generated from my assignment entitled, "Connected to Nature-Working with Adjustment Layers." Following is a shot list for you to execute prior to our distance learning lesson. I will explain the assignment in greater detail during our upcoming session.
First, you will need a minimum of three images to begin:
1. A close up shot of flower/s (dried and whithered if possible)
2. A shot of silhouetted trees (stand in the woods and shoot out into a field/pasture/meadow of light to achieve the silhouette effect-sunrise or sunset produces the best results).
3. A face either awake or asleep: If you have a baby brother, sister, cousin etc. this will communicate a theme of innocence. If you have access to an elderly person i.e. grandparents, great grandparents, great aunts and uncles etc. this will communicate a theme of wisdom.
  • You may also opt to photograph close ups of hands: infant or old and weathered for consideration in your composition
