his assignment was inspired by the work of artist, Andy Goldsworthy.First view a documentary of his work entitled, "Rivers and Tides" Click on Rivers and Tides Filmafter clip #1 ends, clip #2 will appear next in line. Simply click on the subsequent clips to view the entire film.
Assignment: Part 1: Create a silhouette of your body inspired by the film i.e. laying on a surface prior to it raining (garden hose works well too), or outline your form and fill it with varying colored vegetation and/or textures.
Part 2: Research the following: Golden Ratio, Fibonacci Sequence, Golden Rectangle create and photograph an asthetically pleasing structure inspired by your research in addition to the work of Andy Goldsworthy. Be sure to utilize a variety of perspectives when photographing your sculptures in nature (bird's eye and worm's eye views.)
Assemble Parts 1 & 2 in one Photoshop file. The objective is to creat a visually appealing composition with the silhouette as your primary subject matter. Following are examples from my 2010 second semester students.
